Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team to be a part of growth after purchasing a new building twice to size as the current shop! The role involves installing wiring for low voltage electrical systems that operate lights and equipment. You will require both a basic mechanic's set of tools and a basic set of electrical tools including cutters, strippers, crimpers, and a solder iron/gun.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring for low voltage electrical systems.
• Work with 12V based automotive electrical systems, including circuits, lighting, relays, fusing, wire gauge ratings, testing, and management.
• Troubleshoot and perform custom fabrication for component mounting.
• Install Dump Bodies, Ice Management & Plow equipment onto Truck Bodies.
• Work in the Heavy Bay to install Dump Bodies, Mounts for plows, Plow Equipment & Ice Management Bodies.
• Fabricate metal using Manual Brake Press, Punch Press, Ironworker, saws, drills, and plasma cutters.
• Install hydraulic systems that operate the dump bodies, plows, and ice management equipment.
• Wire low voltage systems to control equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Assist with mechanical installation and assembly of dump boxes, plow equipment, and ice management equipment.
• Assemble hydraulic hoses, fittings, and components for installation onto truck bodies and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with automotive electrical systems and control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
• 1+ year of mechanical assembly or installation experience.
• 1+ year of welding experience (preferred but not required)
• 1+ year of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical assembly or installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attendance and positive attitude.
• Rolling toolbox with basic mechanic's tool set, including hand tools, basic air, power, and battery tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with car alarms or remote start systems is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a shop environment with diesel trucks coming in and out, which may cause some fumes. The team consists of about 20 individuals working together. These are 1st shift positions with hours from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays are currently mandatory. The average workweek is 50-55 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bucyrus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bucyrus,OH.
