Disability Career Case Manager

Salary The Disability Career Case Manager supports the basic needs and service coordination for Goodwill clients with disabilities seeking assistance with education, job training, internships, and employment‑related services. The Manager works closely with clients to develop internship and work experiences, create service plans with training, education, and employment goals, and provide continued programmatic follow‑up supports postplacement. The position collaborates with Workforce Advancement professionals, the Texas Workforce Commission – Vocational Rehabilitation, and community partners to coordinate services offered within and outside Goodwill. Full Time, Clerical Austin, TX, USA Role and Responsibilities Maintain client caseloads by supporting development of resumes, job searching, interviewing, and employment‑related soft skills, while keeping frequent contact with clients per agency policy. Develop partnership with clients and create a strengths‑based, solution‑focused assessment and an individualized career plan that identifies short and long‑term goals and resources, tracking goal achievements and supporting transitions to next steps. Lead internship programs (contingent on launch and funding), establishing employer relationships and leveraging pipelines to provide short‑ and long‑term work experiences for individuals with disabilities. Ensure compliance with Texas Workforce Commission – Vocational Rehabilitation program requirements. Apply extensive knowledge of regional labor‑market needs and trends to support evidence‑based career paths for clients. Provide onsite job coaching, including skill development, workplace behavior, and accommodations for clients with disabilities. Coordinate with social‑services professionals to deliver necessary services for employment stability. Intervene effectively and ethically in crises, developing applicable interventions and follow‑up plans to address immediate and future needs while maintaining safety. Enroll clients in programs, gather required information, and complete reports to meet or exceed performance targets set by Goodwill and other funding sources. Maintain complete, accurate records of all clients via CaseWorthy and other required databases, strictly adhering to data entry requirements and confidentiality protocols. Work collaboratively with the GCT Career Advancement Team to connect clients with training and with the Business Solutions team to connect clients with employment opportunities. Ensure quality and integrity of Career Advancement Services in CaseWorthy and retrieve reports as needed for the department. Participate in community collaborations and inter‑agency discussions that further the Goodwill mission and client goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in education, business, or a social‑services related field. Associate degree with a minimum of one year of experience working with clients in employment counseling, placement, education, or human services can substitute for a four‑year degree. Minimum one year of experience with socially disadvantaged individuals such as homeless persons, ex‑offenders, low‑literacy individuals, and individuals with disabilities. Understanding of marginalization and its impact on those served by Goodwill. Knowledge of Goodwill services, community resources, and business networking (preferred). Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other related applications. Valid driver’s license, proof of valid insurance, and ability to travel for work‑related business to meet client location and service‑delivery needs.
