Department Overview:

Our organization’s Critical Care Transport Team is comprised of skilled registered nurses dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and family-oriented care to patients in need of critical care during transport. Nurses operate under the guidance of the team’s medical director, employing established patient care protocols and transport policies to ensure the highest standard of evidence-based care in a mobile setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive clinical nursing care for both stable and unstable critically ill children during ground and air transportation.
• Facilitate communication and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members from both sending and receiving healthcare facilities.
• Work a schedule of 36 hours, rotating between days and nights, including every third weekend.

Essential Qualifications Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is mandatory.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in an ICU or Emergency Department is required.
• Experience as an EMT is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must hold a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• PALS, NRP, ACLS, and EMT certifications are required within the first year of employment, along with CCRN certification within two years.

Additional Information:

This role offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000.00, which is not available to internal candidates or former employees who have worked with us in the past two years.
