Controller

Must have experience within the construction industry, preferably civil construction and experience using Viewpoint Spectrum. A leading North Texas civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing organization generating approximately $90M annually in revenue. This company specializes in underground utilities, excavation, and civil infrastructure projects throughout the DFW market. The Controller will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. Responsibilities: Lead all accounting and financial operations for the company Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Supervise accounting staff and establish best practices across the department Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes Manage job cost accounting and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting Partner with operations leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making Coordinate audits, tax filings, and banking relationships Monitor project performance, profitability, and financial risk Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations Qualifications: 10+ years of accounting and financial management experience Construction industry experience required Civil construction, underground utilities, excavation, sitework, or heavy civil experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience managing accounting functions for a multi-million-dollar contractor Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, project forecasting, and construction financial reporting Viewpoint Spectrum experience required Proven leadership experience managing accounting personnel Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA is not required Total compensation package approaching $300,000 annually Performance-based bonus structure Executive leadership opportunity Long-term growth potential with an established and respected contractor #J-18808-Ljbffr Build Force USA
