Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Work independently to develop technical solutions without assistance in a limited number of technical fields supporting common segments/technologies. May also solve complex problems in cooperation with a team of other engineers.Attend and interact in technical customer meetings.Provide high level test hardware and software solution architectureReview customer's product documentation and select appropriate equipment based on requirementsSupport creation of a functional test strategy and test plan to meet project goals and requirementsSupport creation of technical proposals with costed BOM and hours estimatesAbility to research and comprehend relevant product technologies and skills associated with product technologiesDevelop production test strategies based on customer supplied specifications/Statement of workDesign and develop test solutions including hardware & software elements including initial builds, qualification, and installation to meet product, quality and test requirements outlined in the test plan.Debug of tester issues using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologiesExecute all validation/qualification requirements by applying statistical and common industry methodsStabilization of Test Solutions for manufacturing working to optimize with operation's process teams focussing on cycle time and yield.Test developers may also work with the customer including product testability, test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics and user experience.Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulationsKnowledge/Skills/CompetenciesPractical Experience with test equipment including, but not limited to:Digital Volt MetersRF Power MetersOptical Power MetersOscilloscopesSpectrum AnalyzersPractical Software Experience :LabviewC#PythonLINUXMicrosoft Office (EXCEL/WORD/POWERPOINT)MINITAB (or other statistical packages)SQLProduct Knowledge:WIFICellular TechnologyFiber Optic CommunicationRF Cable SystemsETHERNETPhysical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment as well as an operating production floor.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
