Instructional Services Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, plans, organizes, directs and administers the operations, activities, educational services and support functions of Instructional Services unit. The incumbent shall, in collaboration with IS team members, provide support and technical assistance in the areas of leadership, program development, school-wide change, school culture and professional learning community development as well as other duties assigned. This position is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team and Administrative Council.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in curriculum and instruction is required. A minimum of three years of successful administrative experience in a comprehensive public school setting, or at a district or county office level is required. Site principal and district level administration experience preferred. EDUCATION: Master's degree in education or related field from an accredited college/university required. Doctorate from an accredited college/university in a related field is preferred. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: • Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential and possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential. • Valid California Driver's License may be required You must provide copies of permit/credential as required for position or provide evidence of qualifying for required permit/credential with your application materials to qualify for the position.
