Position Description

We are seeking a Warehouse & Equipment Technician to maintain our shop and inventory and provide hands-on support for specialized altitude-training equipment. Working conditions: This is a primarily hands-on position, based in Gardiner, NY (approximately 90% shop/equipment work and 10% computer work). Candidates must be able to lift and move 65 lbs, ascend and descend one flight of stairs multiple times each day, and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time. Regular travel within the mid-Hudson region is required, with possible infrequent travel to assist with installations in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, highly organized warehouse/shop and accurate inventory of parts, components, tools, and equipment.
• Inspect, document, inventory, and properly store returned equipment.
• Service, repair, and refurbish oxygen concentrators and related equipment following established procedures.
• Assemble components and prepare equipment and materials for engineering, testing, installations, and field projects.
• Perform basic fabrication and mechanical tasks using common hand and shop tools.
• Follow technical manuals, diagrams, checklists, and procedures accurately.
• Maintain inventory records, monitor stock levels, and flag items that need to be reordered.
• Document equipment condition, work performed, and technical observations clearly.
• Assist with equipment setup, testing, assembly, and disassembly as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and standards, including wearing appropriate safety equipment.

Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and ability to read, write and converse proficiently in the English language. Preferred qualifications include:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic shop and hand tools.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow technical instructions precisely and work independently on assignments.
• Basic computer and spreadsheet skills.
• Dependable, observant, and comfortable performing physical, hands-on work.

Experience with equipment repair, mechanical assembly, warehouse operations, inventory, fabrication, or similar hands-on technical work is desirable, but not required.
