Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred, 2 years preferred License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, CPI, NIHSS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in a medical surgical setting - Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4 - Experience with various patient care skills Description: This position involves working in an ER Holding unit providing medical surgical level care. The unit requires handling a daily census of approximately 12 patients. You will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, working with physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services among others. The unit offers support for diverse patient diagnoses. Nurses will be responsible for various skills including, but not limited to, blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, and wound care management. The role includes managing oxygen administration and IV care. Nurses are expected to float to similar units based on facility needs. All workloads and schedules are subject to fluctuations based on patient needs. Travelers will receive a brief orientation specific to the unit. Compliance with facility regulations and protocols is required. All candidates must possess the ability to work weekends, every other weekend as needed. RTO must be listed at the time of submission.
