Key Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Bloomingdale, your specific duties will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments to establish treatment needs and strategies.

• Determining the appropriate level of care for each patient, coordinating with correctional facilities and healthcare teams to implement effective treatment plans.

• Completing comprehensive statistical reports to track patient progress and program effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborating with the Department of Correction to facilitate patient access to services, proper housing arrangements, and optimal treatment paths.

• Leading group therapy sessions for individuals on mental health observation units and coordinating care across various institutional programs.
\n
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, treatment protocols, and updates in accordance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Participating in weekly clinical supervision sessions with a Clinical Supervisor, contributing to professional development and quality assurance.
\n
• Engaging in mental health and medical rounds as needed to stay updated on patient health statuses.
\n
• Contributing to case conferences and treatment planning, discussing progress and potential changes in approach for patients under your care.
\n
• Administering psychological testing when required to assess and diagnose complex mental health issues.
\n
• Providing mentorship and supervision to social work interns or student volunteers, if assigned, fostering their development in the mental health field.

• Completing any additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Chief, Assistant Unit Chief, or Clinical Supervisor.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on incarcerated individuals who exhibit behavioral problems, substance use issues, or severe mental health disorders. You will work with a diverse clientele, actively engaging with patients from various backgrounds and histories. Your therapeutic interventions will be designed to empower clients to overcome their challenges, enhancing their coping strategies and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for the Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor position, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• A valid clinical license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• A Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• At least five years of full-time, paid professional experience in a behavioral health setting, with a proven track record of direct client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
