Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while also engaging in our outpatient office setting as needed. Full-time counselors typically work Monday to Friday, completing eight-hour shifts, while part-time positions require flexible scheduling from Monday to Saturday, accommodating individual preferences and team needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized therapy strategies for clients, conducting thorough evaluations to assess needs and treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-supported therapeutic interventions to diverse populations including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Utilize a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy tailored to client circumstances.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated client care, actively participating in treatment planning and progress evaluations.

• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring documentation is reflective of client interactions and treatment progress.

• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and training sessions focused on the latest mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Journey Behavioral and Skills, Inc., you will work with a diverse array of clients experiencing various mental health challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, and relationship conflicts. Specialization in family or couples therapy is an asset, and your role will be crucial in helping clients develop coping strategies and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey is a must.

• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally in a clinical context, is required.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
