Role Overview

Epicured is seeking a People Operations Specialist (Payroll & Bookkeeping) to support the daily operations of our Human Resources and Finance teams. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this role will provide hands-on payroll support, bookkeeping assistance, reporting, and administrative coordination across People and FP&A functions.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, Excel-savvy self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across both HR and finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support weekly payroll administration, timekeeping reconciliation, and payroll reporting

• Assist with payroll data preparation, audits, and documentation management

• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems across HR, operations, and accounting records

• Build and maintain weekly/monthly HR dashboards (headcount, onboarding metrics, time tracking, etc.)

• Assist with expense management and travel software tracking

• Support bookkeeping and clerical accounting functions in partnership with Finance

• Provide administrative support to HR and FP&A, including reporting and document preparation

• Assist with onboarding logistics (workspace setup, access credentials, documentation tracking)

• Manage HR inbox inquiries and administrative follow-ups

• Track internal forms, compliance documentation, and employee records

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in payroll, HR operations, bookkeeping, or administrative finance support

• Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, reporting, data manipulation)

• Experience with accounting software and/or HRIS systems

• Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping processes

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-starter mindset with ability to prioritize independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

• Experience working in a healthcare, food production, or high-growth environment

• Familiarity with task management, scheduling tools, or ticket systems

• Experience supporting cross-functional HR and Finance teams

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $23–$30 per hour , commensurate with experience (Non-Exempt; eligible for overtime)
