Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC Must-Have: - 2 years experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center - 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and give feedback in real-time - Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department Description: This position is within a busy emergency department. The department is recognized for teamwork and a welcoming atmosphere. Staff enjoy serving a diverse community with over 120 languages spoken. The emergency department has a patient ratio of 4:1, typically, and can rise to 7:1 on behavioral holds. Advanced skills are required, along with a willingness to float within various sections of the emergency department. The department is equipped with the latest technology to enhance patient care. All staff must adhere to established unit-specific policies and guidelines. The focus is on providing a positive patient experience through respectful behavior and effective communication.
