Middle School Teaching Position

Jackson County School System is seeking qualified applicants for an Agriculture Teacher position serving students at Legacy Knoll Middle School. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Education or related field and eligibility to hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Agriculture Education. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in Agriculture Education or related field, holding a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Agriculture Education, and experience working in a public school district as a middle school teacher.

Working conditions involve standing, speaking, and interacting with students, parents, and colleagues in a standard in-person classroom setting. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment may be required. The position requires the ability to use classroom technology, including projectors, computers, and learning management systems. Regular work hours are during the school day, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for parent-teacher conferences, school events, or professional development. The position may include additional duties such as sponsoring extracurricular activities or supervising student clubs.

Employment terms include a 190 work calendar, with this position eligible for an extended year supplement to cover duties occurring during the summer, weekends, and other holidays. Annual salary is based on degree level and previous years of experience in a similar role according to Jackson County Schools Salary Schedules.
