Financial Analyst

TEMPORARY POSITION OPPORTUNITY!

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm Pay: up to $40.00HR Duties: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, and overhead analyses. Apply manufacturing cost accounting principles to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation. Analyze cost centers, absorption rates, and manufacturing costs to identify opportunities for operational improvement. Monitor and investigate standard versus actual cost variances and order-level cost discrepancies. Identify financial trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and business performance. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Develop and present financial reports and analyses to management. Collaborate with operations, production, and leadership teams to support data-driven decision-making. Utilize JD Edwards (JDE) ERP software to manage financial data and reporting activities. Assist with audits and support internal controls and compliance initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Strong experience with general ledger accounting and month-end/year-end close processes. Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) required. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, and cost center analysis. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful business recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
