Qualifications:

·      Two years of full-service restaurant experience in a management position

·      Working kitchen knowledge, including butchering and portion control

·      Strong communication and organizational skills

·      Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

·      Working knowledge of POS/Micros systems and cash handling

·      Understanding of food and labor cost control, inventory management, and purchasing

·      Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures

Job Responsibilities:

As the Sous Chef in Goodyear, AZ, you will:

·      Support the Executive Chef across all areas of kitchen operations

·      Manage back-of-house team members, operations, and food production

·      Coach, counsel, and provide feedback and direction to kitchen staff

·      Oversee ordering and receiving for produce, seafood, and main food orders

·      Conduct daily and biweekly inventory with the team

·      Build and manage the back-of-house schedule

·      Interview and hire back-of-house team members to maintain staffing goals

·      Supervise and participate in butchering and portion control each shift

·      Set the standard for quality food in a kitchen that stays neat, clean, and organized

Physical Requirements:

·      Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location

·      Reach, bend, push, and pull items for up to two hours each day

·      Use fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively for up to six hours each day

·      Stand and move at a steady pace for multiple hours at a time

·      Maintain balance while bending, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
