Job Description

This role will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in accounts payable operations. While your duties will depend on the specific needs of your client, they will include, but not be limited to:

• Assist in the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approval, and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, communicating effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, in accordance with established payment terms and schedules.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system, including contact information, payment terms, and banking details.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including generating accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of 1099 forms and other tax-related documents for vendors as required.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining accounts payable procedures and enhancing overall efficiency.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of proven experience in accounts payable, finance, or related roles is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Technical Requirements:

• Processor: Intel 11th Gen (or equivalent AMD Ryzen 5000 series) for Windows users and M2 for Macs
• RAM: 16 GB minimum
• 25 - 50 Mbps Internet Speed (Minimum)

0-3 months: $1,200 USD/month

After 3 months: You'll receive a $50 monthly Wellness Bonus to support a healthy and balanced work life (total: $1,250/month).

After 1 year: Salary increases to $1,340 USD/month

After 2 years: Salary increases to $1,480 USD/month

After 3 years: Salary increases to $1,540 USD/month

After 4 years: Salary increases to $1,600 USD/month

Two Annual Adjustments: Every year, you benefit from two salary increases: one on your work anniversary, recognizing your continued tenure with WorkBetterNow, and one at the start of each calendar year, when all salary ranges are updated company-wide.
