Position: Family Law Attorney

Location: Hybrid – Somerville, NJ

Position Overview:

Lyons & Associates, P.C. is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to represent clients in a variety of family law matters. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing cases from intake through resolution while advocating for clients in negotiations, mediation, and court.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence.

·       Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice.

·       Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery requests/responses, and settlement documents.

·       Perform legal research and analyze applicable laws and case facts.

·       Appear in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and conferences.

·       Manage a full caseload from intake through resolution.

·       Maintain organized case files and communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy and progress.

·       Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications:

·       Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

·       Active New Jersey Bar license.

·       1–3 years of family law litigation experience preferred.

·       Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.

·       Excellent organizational and case management abilities.

·       Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

·       Professional, compassionate approach to sensitive family law matters.
