Medical Director Psychiatrist
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Setting: Acute Inpatient Psychiatry
A leading hospital in Fort Wayne is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as Facility Medical Director . This role combines direct patient care with program leadership , offering an excellent balance of clinical practice and administrative responsibilities.
Position HighlightsMonday Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (flexible)
Adult and geriatric psychiatric caseload, patients/day
Primarily inpatient psychiatry with occasional PHP/IOP coverage and tele-psychiatry consults
Facility Medical Director responsibilities include collaboration with hospital administration, quality oversight, and aligning clinical care with hospital goals
Highly competitive base salary plus additional compensation for Medical Director role

Extensive back-office and local management support
After-hours call coverage (voluntary/rotation)
Weekend coverage (voluntary/rotation)
Nurse Practitioner supervision (if applicable)
MD or DO, Board-Certified in Psychiatry
Eligible for Indiana medical license
Leadership interest/experience preferred
