Work Environment

This position is onsite, where you will make meaningful connections with patients in their own homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their home settings, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include a mix of manual therapies, exercise programs, and assistive techniques to effectively address each patient's unique needs.
• Utilize various modalities, such as therapeutic exercises, stretching, and hands-on techniques, to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress accurately in our electronic health record system, ensuring continuity of care and clear communication among team members.
• Reassess patients regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed based on their progress and changing needs.
• Provide instruction and support for patients and their caregivers on the proper use of assistive devices and therapeutic techniques.
• Maintain current knowledge in the field by attending professional development workshops and engaging with professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population, including pediatric patients requiring therapy for developmental challenges, adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, seniors managing chronic conditions, and individuals with neurological impairments. You'll have the opportunity to profoundly influence the recovery journeys of patients by helping them regain independence and improve their daily function.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license to practice in the state of Virginia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficient in utilizing computer systems for documentation and scheduling.
• A flexible and adaptable work style, comfortable managing various patient needs and schedules.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in home care settings, is preferred.
• Experience in pediatric or geriatric therapy is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
