About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler choice) Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - High Risk Obstetric care experience - Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy - Proficiency in EPIC charting Description: Candidates must have separation from any previous permanent employment of at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Travelers can choose between 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules. First-time travelers are accepted with a minimum of 2 years experience in high acuity postpartum care. Candidates must be able to manage a census surge, potentially managing a 4th couplet. Floating to other facilities may be required. Weekends consist of 6 weekend days per contract. The unit serves a diverse population of high-risk obstetric patients. Specific procedures and experiences required include handling postpartum hemorrhage, administering Pitocin, and using a Foley catheter. Experience with substance withdrawal and JADA is preferred. Epic experience is mandatory, and candidates without Epic experience will not be considered. Refusal to float between facilities may lead to termination of the assignment. Providers must commit to working a minimum of 3 out of 5 major holidays. References covering the last 1 year are required for compliance.
