Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist

Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist Amarillo, TX; Lubbock, TX Responsibilities Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws. Perform reviews based on information presented by applicants and ensure completion within 24 hours of receipt. Adhere to all policies and procedures as set forth in the personnel manual. Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and requirements and implement modifications as indicated. Attend TDHCA trainings annually and complete HCCP training within the first two years of employment, including achieving a passing score on the exam to receive the HCCP designation. Participate in all tax credit reviews by outside entities. Travel approximately 50% of work time annually for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business-related activities. Qualifications Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach. Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency with RealPage OneSite Tax Credit software. Housing Credit Certified Professional certification is a plus; if not already certified, the requirement to attend HCCP training within the first two years of employment and achieve a passing score on the exam. Knowledge of the HUD program is a plus. Good verbal and written communication skills.
