Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a deep understanding of their individual situations.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans aligned with their specific needs, goals, and preferences, creating a path for recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective interventions.

• Provide ongoing education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care techniques.

• Closely monitor client progress, revising treatment plans as necessary to adapt to their evolving needs and circumstances.

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, engaging with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed of current research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records, complying with all legal and ethical standards, to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Therapists will interact with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various backgrounds, such as homeless populations, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. This client-centered approach enables therapists to make significant, transformative impacts in their clients' lives, helping them navigate through their struggles toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
