Overview of Team:

CEO’s Early Head Start/Head Start program creates partnerships and develops opportunities for social and economic growth and empowerment in individuals, families, and communities. We are a federally funded program that provides comprehensive early childhood services to children aged 6 weeks to age 5 and families throughout Rensselaer County.

Position Summary:

CEO is seeking a Center Manager to manage day-to-day operations of the Community Resource Center located in Troy. The Center Manager will coordinate and manage all assigned staff and Center operations.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage day-to-day operations and implement and enforce all policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to Early Head Start Early Learning Outcome Framework, Performance Standards, and Day Care licensing program requirements.
• Actively participate in the NYS OCFS Day Care Licensing Renewal Process.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate the performance of all assigned staff in compliance with all agency and personnel policies, procedures, OCFS regulations, and contracts (if applicable).
• Conduct comprehensive orientation to new staff. Provide daily support, observations, and monitoring of classrooms.
• Ensure compliance with all child, staff and facility related Health and Safety protocols as outlined by agency policy and procedures and regulatory entities.
• Build a positive working relationship with the community and collaborating agencies and/or partners. Promote parent involvement activities and refer families to other CEO programs, as needed.
• Ensure the timely review and submission of all required paperwork, and reports to include electronic approvals of time sheets, purchase orders, in-kind and enrollment following CEO policies and procedures.
• Supervise substitutes, volunteers, student teachers, interns, and service providers in classrooms following agency and department policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or a related field, CPAC, or associate’s degree in early childhood with an OCFS approved plan of study.
• Knowledge of daycare licensing regulations
• A minimum of one year supervisory or program management experience
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for Visa Sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• In addition to the minimum qualifications listed above; NYS Teacher certification in Birth through 2nd grade and experience in a Head Start program.

Compensation and Benefits information:

• $30-$33 per hour depending on experience and education- 35 hours per week
