To learn more about our company please visit us at The Position The Service Technician plays a crucial role in repair and new electrical installations. The Technician’s duties will include completing work orders, resolving electrical issues and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently maintaining customer satisfaction. Position Responsibilities Receive work orders from Service Manager via phone, online portal, email, text message or other communication channels. Conduct new Installation, repair and replacement of electrical systems. Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. Provide preventative maintenance measures for distribution equipment. Ensure new work and repairs of existing work adhere to current NEC guidelines. Proper operation of electrical testing equipment and ability of diagnosing electrical issues. Review drawings, plans and specifications and determine work requirements. Communicate with customers to provide updates on service call, through emails, phone calls, and text messages. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate and organized records of work orders, appointments, and job details. Provide documentation for portal customers who require pictures, store stamps and signatures. Be able to fill in required forms for tools, inspections, IT request and material orders, JSA, and any other applicable documents. Maintain updates on IT devices (Phone, IPAD, Laptops). Complete Spectrum work orders documenting all material, subcontractors and labor. Manage multiple work orders for multiple clients and on time. Completion of notes and hours worked on work orders in Spectrum, daily. Keep vehicle clean, organized, and presentable inside and outside. Communicate to Service Manager when vehicles need service and registration. Monitor and manage inventory levels of electrical supplies for the vehicle truck stock. Responsible for ensuring service calls are completed to the customer’s satisfaction and within established quality standards. Collaborate with other technicians, including account management and construction department personnel to facilitate smooth service operations. Work with other trades on jobsites to ensure completion of projects. Prepared to pull off current project to assist with emergency service calls throughout the day. Effective communication with PM/AM/Service Manager of work order status if needing to be placed in HOLD. Provide explanation of the HOLD if caused by material delay or customers request. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years as a journeyman wireman, required. Valid & Current State of Texas Journeyman License, required. Valid & Current Texas Drivers License required. Clean history at DMV required. Must be able to successfully pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screening. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and terminology to effectively communicate with technicians and customers. Must be available for on‑call coverage for one week at a time (approximately 4–5 times per year). Must be willing and available to work nights, after hours, and weekends, and travel for short‑term projects as needed. Desired Skills and Competencies Strong leadership skills.
