Records Analyst

The role of Records Analyst within the Record Management Unit is to ensure medical records' data integrity and quality for the across UC Davis Health enterprise. The Records Analyst operates in line with UC Davis Health compliance and established Record Management's policies, procedures and timelines. The Records Analyst is responsible for accurately processing time sensitive requests for patient documents and imaging, monitoring patient identity and processing requests for the'release of information'. Other responsibilities include resolving trouble tickets, completing electronic chart corrections, resolving error logs, and providing technical, project management and unit support.

Department Overview:

The Health Information Management and Enterprise Services (HIMES) department serves as the strategic backbone of the UC Davis Health (UCDH) medical record ecosystem. HIMES is responsible for the complete lifecycle of clinical datafrom initial patient identity and document digitization to the complex governance of the Legal Medical Record (LMR). By blending clinical informatics expertise with rigorous regulatory oversight, the department ensures that health information is accurate, secure, and accessible for patient care, research, and financial reimbursement.
