Lower School Spanish Teacher Responsibilities Teach several Spanish courses for students in grades K-5. Design and implement Spanish curriculum for lower school students. Conduct research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class. Cultivate an immersive classroom environment that supports authentic language acquisition. Monitor student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments. Organize feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable. Identify students needing additional support and coordinate intervention sessions to improve academic performance. Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education. Lower School Spanish Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related required. Master’s degree preferred. Fluency in Spanish required. 2-3 years of previous K-12 teaching experience. No teaching license or credential is required. Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities. Detail-oriented and resilient. Additional Desired Qualities A desire to be involved in extra-curricular activities as well as the broader school community. Willingness to work with lower school students.
