Job Opportunity: Full-Time Primary Care Physician

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team in Leavenworth, KS. This is a full-time position within the healthcare system.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $315,000 annually . The final salary will be determined through a formal pay-setting process that considers education and experience (Base Pay + Market Pay).

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)

This position qualifies for the Education Debt Reduction Program, which offers reimbursement for student loans. To be eligible, candidates must meet specific criteria outlined by VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of starting. Approval, award amounts (up to $200,000), and eligibility periods (ranging from one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services after reviewing the application. Please note that former EDRP participants are not eligible to reapply.

Contract Buy Out Program

Eligible candidates may also participate in the Physician/Provider Contract Buy Out Program, which allows for the buyout of service contracts (including locum agreements, loan repayments, and sign-on bonuses) in exchange for employment at designated rural or highly rural facilities for a minimum of four years. Key Responsibilities

The Primary Care Physician will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to a panel of patients, focusing on the following:

• Independently managing the clinical care of patients with both acute and chronic conditions, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention through evidence-based practices via various communication methods (telephone, video, in-person, and asynchronous care).
• Creating and executing personalized plans aimed at optimizing health outcomes for the patient population.
• Exhibiting leadership and collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other necessary evaluations.
• Prescribing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
• Initiating referrals and consultations to specialty services as needed.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.
• Assessing and modifying care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Performing procedures as permitted by clinical privileges.
• Offering clinical guidance to mid-level providers.

Work Schedule

The typical work hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM .
