Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. In this role, you will provide critical care to patients with high acuity levels, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and health status, responding to changes and complications effectively.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as ECMO, Impella, balloon pumps, and VADs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care procedures.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional knowledge and skills by participating in continuing education and training sessions.

Shift Information

This position requires working on the night shift, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend (EOW) commitment. The shift length is 12 hours, ensuring guaranteed hours of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or similar environments.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Experience with high acuity patients and advanced cardiac therapies.

Unit Notes

The CVICU is known for managing a busy cardiovascular service line, excluding transplant cases, making it one of the highest acuity units in the area. Candidates should be ready for a fast-paced work environment and possess strong critical thinking skills.
