Senior Manager/Associate Director of Engineering and Manufacturing

My client is a growing medical device company of approximately 50 employees based near Anaheim, CA. focused on bringing an innovative product through the transition from development into commercial manufacturing. As they scale toward full commercialization, they are seeking a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Manufacturing & Engineering to join their team! This is a fully on‑site position. The Senior Manager/Associate Director of Manufacturing & Engineering will be a hands‑on leader, equally as comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves as they are on the production floor. This is a highly visible role bridging product development and commercial manufacturing in a lean, startup‑style environment. Qualifications 8–10+ years of medical device manufacturing engineering experience 3–5+ years of leadership experience Cleanroom manufacturing experience Background in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) Experience working in an FDA‑regulated medical device environment Comfort managing cleanroom technicians and day‑to‑day manufacturing operations Preferred Startup or small‑company medical device background Commercial manufacturing experience Experience with CDMOs/CMOs and technology transfers Supplier qualification and scale‑up experience International manufacturing exposure (Asia and/or Latin America) Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and IT/OT validation controls This role offers the opportunity to own and shape manufacturing and engineering with significant cross‑functional exposure to Quality and Regulatory teams.
