Full-time: 5- day, 8-hour shift . No weekends!

 

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $31-$36/hour . The final pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

 

About You

As a Registered Veterinary Technician at Park Animal Hospital, you’ll provide hands-on support across outpatient care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, patient intake, and discharge. You’ll help pets receive thoughtful, high-quality care while partnering closely with veterinarians, clients, and your hospital team.

 

Experience and Skills Requirements:

· Minimum of 1 year of clinical veterinary technician experience, including direct patient care

· Active California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required

· Dental experience strongly preferred, including proficiency with dental cleanings

· Experience monitoring surgical patients and anesthesia

· Strong client service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately

· Ability to explain doctor recommendations and support client education

· Self-motivated, dependable, and able to stay organized in a busy hospital environment

· Collaborative team player with a positive, flexible approach

· Availability to work the listed full-time schedule

 

Role Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.  
• With each hospital function,   assist   veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and   maintain   positive patient flow.  
• Assist   with surgeries and procedures   in accordance with   your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.  
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on   Thrive Membership   options, medications, and   additional   treatments.  
• Assist   in   maintaining   relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.  
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and   maintain   medical charts.  
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.  
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
