About the Role

\n

We’re hiring a Business Operations Manager who wants to learn how to run a business from the ground up. You’ll start hands-on, owning the day-to-day work that keeps AVRL running: contracts, invoicing, renewals, bookkeeping, and company documentation. Mastering this foundation is the path into the bigger role. As you learn how AVRL works, you’ll take on more ownership of operational strategy, financial performance, and the systems we use to manage and monitor the business.

The goal is for this role to grow. As you master the work and build the processes behind it, we plan to bring on an associate for you to train and manage. You’d hand off the day-to-day execution and step into a more senior operations leadership role.

This role works directly with leadership and is built for someone who is coachable. That means someone who learns how we do things first, takes feedback well, and earns the right to change processes by understanding them deeply.

What You’ll Do

\n

\n

Contracts, customers & renewals

\n

\n
• Manage NDAs and contract redlines on behalf of AVRL, working with legal to refine terms and flag risks
\n
• Create and send SaaS contracts, and learn to interpret our master agreements and statements of work
\n
• Contact customers ahead of renewals and help keep accounts in-term, renewing on time and paying on time
\n
• Partner with our Account Manager on high-value customer issues, and own out-of-scope requests from intake through resolution
\n

Finance & compliance

\n

\n
• Manage the invoicing system and keep accounting and bookkeeping in sync
\n
• Handle sales tax and routine statutory compliance
\n
• Work with external accountants and auditors
\n
• Oversee financial operations, including international vendor management
\n

\n

Operations & documentation

\n

\n
• Manage, control, and archive company documents
\n
• Build and standardize SOPs in a single, interlinked company library
\n
• Monitor our ticketing system daily and escalate emerging issues quickly
\n

\n

As you grow

• Build quarterly financial performance reporting
\n
• Design how we manage and monitor sales and renewals
\n
• Contribute to operational, messaging, and technology strategy alongside senior operations leaders
\n
• Hire, train, and manage an associate, using the SOPs you’ve built to hand off day-to-day execution
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• 3+ years in finance, accounting, or business operations
\n
• Hands-on experience working with external accountants
\n
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with logical complexity
\n
• Experience writing process documentation or SOPs that others use
\n
• A bias to action: you resolve issues quickly and don’t wait to be told twice
\n
• Coachable and low-ego: you listen, take direction well, and see grunt work as how you learn the business
\n
• Strong written and spoken communication

• Finance background, such as FP&A, accounting, or billing

• Software/SaaS experience
