Senior Property AccountantThe Senior Property Accountant is responsible for financial accounting and reporting matters for Crawford Hoying's assets, as assigned. This position requires keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills both face-to-face and in writing are essential, as this individual works across all lines of business within the company and interacts with other departments on a regular basis.Job Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)Perform accounting functions including month-end close, account reconciliations, equity analysis, intercompany reconciliations, and other related tasksConduct financial statement analysis with the ability to identify and resolve potential issuesEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting, including collaboration with other departmentsDistribute financial results to executive leadership, investors, and ownersManage fixed-asset process, including depreciation schedule tie-out to general ledgerRecord and document complex real estate transactionsUse technology and data analytical skills to enhance and improve the delivery of job responsibilitiesIdentify patterns and problem areas and make recommendations to management on areas of improvementTake on special projects as neededPerform other duties as assignedPerformance ObjectivesThe 7 Core Values established by Crawford Hoying to maintain its desired cultureWillingness to learn a variety of concepts, practices, and proceduresFace-forward interaction and engagement with other departmentsStrategic approach to problem-solving and troubleshootingFlexibility in taking on projectsPerseverance in reconciling historical dataTimeliness and transactional accuracyPreferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience3-5 years of accounting experienceWorking knowledge of accrual accountingStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilitiesStrong technical and operational accounting skills, including knowledge of U.S. GAAPExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalResults-oriented attitude with a sense of urgency and ability to work under deadline pressure as a self-starterAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelBachelor's degree in accountingCPA designation a plusWork EnvironmentThis individual works at the corporate office. Core office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The person in this position must be available to work additional hours as needed in busy seasons.Reporting StructureThe Senior Property Accountant reports to the Property Accounting Manager.Physical RequirementsThe Senior Property Accountant's physical condition must be sufficient for the consistent and successful completion of the responsibilities defined for this position. This position frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting up to twenty-five pounds.
