Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, incorporating physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical cases, utilizing imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical care plans
• Offer in-the-moment support during surgeries, preparing the operating room, securing patient positions, and managing instruments during procedures
• Administer high-quality pre-operative and post-operative care, including medication delivery, wound management, discharge preparations, and patient education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focusing on surgical practices is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• Required certifications in BLS and ACLS
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant or eligibility to obtain it

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of surgical practices and principles of sterile technique
• Demonstrated skill in interpreting diagnostic examinations and contributing to clinical decision-making
