Maine Public is seeking a full‑time Member Services Specialist! Job Overview Joining our Development team and in support of philanthropic giving, you will assist our community of donors and increase our organization's financial strength. Member Services Specialists provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls, replying to email inquiries, and researching and responding to questions and comments. Working with our fundraising database, this position creates, updates, and verifies membership information, and processes, posts, and reconciles member pledges and payments. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in‑person inquiries. Serve as a primary contact for donor questions and concerns. Maintain and update membership data in the fundraising database. Process pledge and payment transactions and reconcile records. Collaborate with the Development team to support mission‑driven fundraising initiatives. Qualifications Experience in customer service and support, phone skills, and excellent listening and multitasking skills. Proficient with Word and Excel and working experience with databases. Excellent communication skills. Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years’ work experience in fundraising, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to other Maine Public facilities. Hybrid Work Schedule This position is based in our Bangor or Portland, Maine office, and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after an orientation and training period, which includes regular travel to our Bangor offices.
