Position Summary

The Accounting Support Specialist will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative functions, including accounts payable support, invoice processing, vendor communications, billing assistance, and record maintenance. Successful candidates will be organized, proactive, and committed to accuracy while working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor payments accurately and timely
• Review invoices, vendor statements, and supporting documentation
• Contact vendors to obtain statements and copies of invoices as needed
• Review vendor invoices and prepare remittance documentation
• Verify billed items and investigate/reconcile discrepancies
• Maintain and update vendor records and account information
• Respond promptly to email and phone inquiries
• Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors and internal teams
• Assist with billing and related accounting functions
• Scan, file, and organize accounting records and documentation
• Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
• Accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or office internship experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow professionally
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUP formulas
• Familiarity with accounts payable, billing, or general accounting processes
