Emergency Services Coordinator California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) JC-520146 - Emergency Services Coordinator Salary: $5,308.00 - $8,157.00 per Month. New-to-State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: 06/16/2026 Responsibilities In this role, you will: Develop, update, and maintain specialized emergency management plans, guidance, and systems for statewide operations and programs. Serve as a liaison between Cal OES and emergency management partners, including local, state, federal, Tribal Nations, private sector, and nongovernmental organizations, to support coordination and problem‑solving. Lead or coordinate difficult and complex emergency management projects, including recommending policy and program improvements and selecting methodologies for implementation. Support the Cal OES Continuity Program and Planning efforts including: Prepare, refine, and enhance continuity documents and resources to ensure they are clear, effective, and ready to support program success. Develop and keep continuity planning guidelines, tools, and templates current, practical, and user‑friendly. Advance and promote the ongoing development and adoption of the Continuity Program Assessment Tool (CPAT). Review and evaluate annual continuity checklists submitted by executive branch agencies and departments to help strengthen statewide readiness. Provide knowledgeable technical assistance to agencies as they develop or update continuity plans. Capture key program outcomes—including goals, achievements, gaps, and challenges. Working Conditions Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in‑office days may be required based on business needs. DMV Pull Program: Participation is required. The position requires a valid Driver’s License; you must provide DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions. Conflict of Interest: This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and requires completion of Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.
