Maintenance Supervisor - 1st Shift

Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor ( Monday – Friday with OT as needed 6:00am - 4:30pm), where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. What You’ll Do

• Directs the maintenance work force and provides on-site expertise.

• Ensures that work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.

• Reviews work planning and scheduling with the production planner.

• Ensures quality of work adhering to all safety standards.

• Ensure that equipment availability is adequate to meet the production plan.

• Works with plant or production supervision to ensure any operator's performed maintenance duties are facilitated.

• Works with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all maintenance craft employees are properly qualified and trained for all maintenance work assigned.

• Enforce environmental regulations.

• Focuses downward and is highly visible in the field.

• Champions proactive maintenance vs. reactive maintenance.

• Administers encouragement and discipline to direct employees.

• Monitors the CMMS.

• Implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Works with procurement and external vendors for the purchase of supplies, parts, and obtaining competitive bids for equipment.

• Monitors shop qualifications and quality standards for outside contractors.

• Develops standards for major maintenance overhauls and outages.

• Manage the maintenance team's maintenance budget.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

• 3 or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

• 2 or more years of people leadership or supervisory experience

• Previous hands-on experience with assembly line machinery including PLC programming

• Excellent reading, writing and math skills.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and mechanical skills. Be able to read blueprints.

• Basic computer skills using Excel and Word.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to influence culture from reactive to proactive maintenance methodologies.

• Must be willing to work off shift hours (as needed)

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $90,000 – $100,000 plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus or commission target. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including your relevant skills and experience.
