Production Supervisor

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role provides hands-on leadership on the shop floor, driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Lead a team of 30+ employees, providing coaching, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Monitor production schedules, workflow, staffing, and material utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Operational Excellence (OPEX) programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Conduct employee training sessions, daily tier meetings, and performance evaluations.
• Reduce scrap, improve productivity, and support implementation of plant goals and objectives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a steel manufacturing or steel fabrication environment.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience working in a steel production environment.
• Proven experience leading teams of 30+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S principles.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with racking systems is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
