As a Security Officer Clinical Campus Patrol in Newark, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will be part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity each day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Hospital vaccines are required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
