Production Worker – 2nd ShiftThis role involves performing general production work across various areas of a manufacturing facility while operating machinery in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. You will maintain your own workstations, follow strict sanitation standards, and support high-speed production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent output.ResponsibilitiesPerform general production tasks in multiple areas of the facility to support continuous operations.Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in a GMP-regulated environment.Set up and break down equipment as needed for production runs, following established procedures.Maintain and clean workstations regularly to uphold sanitation and GMP standards.Carry out basic machine upkeep, including routine checks and minor adjustments, to ensure optimal performance.Follow Clean-In-Place (CIP) or other sanitation procedures to clean equipment and production areas.Monitor high-speed production lines and respond promptly to issues to minimize downtime.Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of equipment.Document and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to production, cleaning, and equipment use.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.Work overtime and weekends as required to support production schedules and demand.Essential SkillsAt least 2+ years of general production experience at the same company.At least 2+ years of experience working in a GMP environment.At least 1+ year of CIP (Clean-In-Place) or sanitation experience in a GMP setting.Hands-on experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment.Proven ability to work in high-speed production environments.Experience performing equipment set ups and breakdowns.Strong understanding of sanitation practices and standards in production settings.Ability to perform general labor tasks, including standing for long periods and handling repetitive work.Commitment to following safety, quality, and GMP guidelines consistently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a unionized work environment is beneficial.Comfort working mandatory overtime, including weekends, as needed.Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.Reliable attendance and punctuality to support continuous production operations.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) plan that includes a company match to support long-term financial security. The workplace follows strict GMP standards, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as hair nets, beard nets, smocks, steel-toe footwear, non-slip shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats as applicable. The production setting includes high-speed machinery and structured sanitation procedures, creating a disciplined, safety-focused environment where cleanliness, consistency, and adherence to protocols are essential.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
