Licensed Veterinary Technician, Emergency
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Schedule: Full Time | 3 Twelve Hour Shifts Per Week - Overnight Availability Required, 7pm-7am | Shift Bid Every 6 Months | Rotating Weekends & Holidays | Week 1- Mon/Fri/Sat, Week 2- Sun/Mon/Thurs
Compensation: $21-30/hr Dependent On Experience | $3/hr Shift Differential For Hours Worked Between 11pm & 7am

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will

• Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments
• Strong technical skills; IVC placement, administering medications, and monitoring hospitalized patients
• Perform and monitor anesthesia (ECG, SpO₂, EtCO₂, NIBP)
• Provide surgical support and post-op care
• Handle and prepare lab samples; operate in-house diagnostics
• Accurately record histories and update medical records in the PIMS system (EzyVet)
• Maintain accurate and detailed communication logs, handle department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentation
• Educate and communicate with clients regarding their pet's condition, treatment plans, review of estimates, and follow-up care
• Maintain hospital cleanliness, follow safety protocols, and support inventory.
• Ability to learn advanced skills and use them to the fullest
• Ability to participate in clinical trials and as a result, be a part of improving medicine for pet health for the future
• Other duties as assigned by leadership

What You Bring

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Michigan or eligible for Michigan license transfer.
• The ability to remain calm, think critically, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment.
• A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and providing compassionate, five-star service to clients during some of their most stressful moments.
• A collaborative, team-first mindset with the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing hospital setting.

• Fluent English (spoken and written) is required; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
