Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment, night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required with rotating shifts based on staffing needs. Every other holiday required. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Highlights:

• Work in a high-acuity emergency department with Level I and Level II trauma designation
• Daily census of 165 visits with 71-bed department capacity
• Patient ratios of 4:5 across all shifts
• Epic EMR system in use
• Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and social services
• 24-hour orientation provided with specialty-specific modules

Requirements:

• Current Virginia RN license (pending licenses accepted, must be active by Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
• Must have at least 1 year of Level I trauma center experience OR 2 years of Level II trauma center experience
• Pediatric patient care experience required (does not need to be in a dedicated pediatric ER)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending but must obtain before start date)
• Epic charting system experience required
• BSN preferred
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed
