Registered Nurse - Med/Surg (Casual)

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a casual Registered Nurse (0.0 FTE) to work in the Inpatient department! Registered Nurses work under the direction of a licensed physician or nurse practitioner credentialed at Western Wisconsin Health. Responsibilities include collaborating with the House Supervisor in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his/her preparation. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing – Associates Degree in Nursing, diploma from hospital based school, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Wisconsin RN license CPR certification for adults and pediatrics PALs (within 4 months of hire) Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of acute hospital experience ACLS certification Other Qualifications Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills Working knowledge of electronic medical records Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services Clearly and effectively convey information to patients Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment Shift Requirements Minimum commitment 16 hours in a 6-week block with 8 hours being during a weekend shift About Western Wisconsin Health Western Wisconsin Health is an integrated hospital and family practice clinic located in Western Wisconsin, just 30 minutes from downtown St. Paul on I-94.
