Quality Assurance Specialist Location: Corporate. Division: SVP - CMXO. Function Description The Quality Assurance Specialist helps evaluate and monitor the quality assurance activities of the Operations Department. Responsibilities include performing audits on ARM notices, Insurance Ratings, MERS, Taxes, Unapplied funds, Real Estate Payoffs, and State National Flood reviews and reporting; assisting with the annual HMDA review by established deadline; testing and monitoring processes and procedure auditing; verifying system interfaces, data file reviews, CORE system acceptance of deposit, real estate loan and Fintech accounts; identifying and resolving system, workflow, and process deficiencies; and participating in team projects to test new products or system interfaces. Essential Functions Demonstrate Bellco’s Act Nice Behaviors and Core Values in all interactions. Outline ways to enhance the member/customer experience through improved processes and technology. Assist with QA for Insurance Ratings, PMI, MERS, Taxes, Flood, and Unapplied; review ARM Notices (quarterly) and RE Payoffs (quarterly). Help complete the Annual HMDA Review accurately and on time, including data loading and compliance checks. Review all automated processes impacting CORE system interfaces (Velocity, CUDC, Temenos, Online Banking, Fintechs). Verify Real Estate system interface automated uploading of loan accounts for accuracy and QA of correspondent channel mortgages. Review custom reports for accuracy, log and report findings, and validate document batches to reduce risk exposure. Perform system, workflow, and process troubleshooting and resolution, including testing vital real estate loan systems. Participate in team projects for new products or system interfaces; develop and maintain quality documentation such as validation protocols. Work with team members to create reports to review and analyze core data, track follow‑up items to completion. Assist with developing procedures to detect and prevent deposit account errors, loan nonconformities, collateral, or documentation issues. Collaborate with Training, liaison team, and frontline for process improvement changes or training needs. Review reports and documents to ensure compliance with HMDA, Reg Z, Truth in Lending, and TILA RESPA requirements. Assist Operations Support with tasks such as processing checks, bonds, foreign items, invoices, and other support duties. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2 years of operational and/or lending experience. General knowledge of consumer and real estate lending, Bellco’s underwriting guidelines, loan operating systems, HMDA, and strong working knowledge of DNA. Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable. Skills Strong communication, organizational, presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented, flexible, works well in a fast‑paced team environment. Strong analytical/problem‑solving and time‑management skills. Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, cView, and consumer and real estate origination and servicing systems. Good judgment and knowledge of Bellco’s front‑line systems. Ability to interpret data and apply deductive reasoning. Ability to work independently without supervision. Ability to multitask and perform with frequent interruption.
