Specialist, Project & Planning (Part-Time)

Job Summary Specialist, Project & Planning (Part‑Time) – Operations. Chicago Cubs. Reports to the Manager, Construction and Planning. Non‑exempt status. Starting pay: $24.00 per hour, USD. Responsibilities Support and coordinate administrative activities between field management, other departments, customers, vendors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers. Interpret construction drawings and plans to facilitate clear communication between the design team and project stakeholders. Assist with scheduling project activities, tracking progress against timelines, and managing the flow of information. Attend planning meetings and walk‑throughs with contractors/vendors as needed. Process invoices, maintain cost records and budget proposals. Help with procurement and inventory management. Assist with document consolidation and management. Qualifications Two‑year degree from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and two years of related experience in building facilities maintenance or construction. Proficient knowledge of construction drawings and construction technology systems such as Asset Essentials, Procore, and Bluebeam. Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk/run on ramps, stand for extended periods, and lift or carry at least 20 lbs. on a regular basis. Demonstrated cross‑functional teamwork and strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment due to weather. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Preferred General equipment repair and maintenance knowledge. Passion for the Cubs and their history. Ability to thrive in a team setting and work under stress. Working knowledge of green building practices. Benefits Option to purchase discounted meals on game days.
