WIC Administrative Support Specialist

Help Make a Difference for Families in Our Community! The City of West Allis is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented WIC Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for families enrolling in the WIC program, which operates offices in West Allis, Greenfield, and Cudahy. You'll support families by assisting with eligibility screening, documentation, appointment scheduling, participant communication, and health-screening activities. Examples of Duties

• Promotes and screens potentially eligible WIC families via telephone, in-person or internet based inquiries
• Schedules appointments following WIC policies and procedures for procession standards, re-certification guidelines and benefit issuance
• Accurately assess and document WIC eligibility criteria including identification, residency and income variation to verify WIC eligibility
• Maintain and update participant information in WIC MIS system to assure ongoing program communication and accurate transmission of WIC related information and data to necessary entities
• Provides referrals to other community resources to all new families entering the WIC program
• Uses participant centered customer service skills as first point of client contact with WIC staff to ensure high quality, customer focused service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of recent administrative support work experience
