Unit Overview The CVICU is a 24-bed, high-acuity unit located in Falls Church, VA, specializing in the care of patients post-cardiac and vascular surgery, heart and lung transplant, advanced heart failure, and other complex diagnoses requiring intensive monitoring and life‑saving interventions. Minimum Qualifications 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship. BSN from an accredited school of nursing. Associate’s Degree (ADN) nurses must complete a BSN within 5 years of hire. BLS for health‑care provider certification from AHA required. ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire. RN licensed or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of CVICU RN experience. CCRN certification.
