Financial Chief Examiner

The Financial Chief Examiner, reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Institutions, directs examinations and leads teams of financial institution examiners to ensure state banks, credit unions, and trust companies comply with state and federal law. The role manages multi-disciplinary examination teams, handles complex examinations, reviews compliance with banking regulations, and serves as a point of contact with regulated financial institutions and federal regulators. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona with remote options available. Key qualifications: Understanding of state and federal bank, trust and credit union laws, rules, regulations, and best practices Knowledge of regulatory accounting practices, examination procedures, and CAMELS rating framework Strong analytical, research, and written/verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple complex projects, lead teams, and work collaboratively in a team environment Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to travel with overnight stays #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
