Job Details Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) Location: Columbus, Ohio Employment Type: Travel RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Orientation: 72 hours Floating: Required to other Med/Surg and oncology units as needed Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at the time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg Tele or a related specialty Current acute care experience required and must be consistently recent within the last 12 months Epic charting experience required BLS required ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN preferred or desired based on unit needs Strong telemetry nursing skills and experience with dysrhythmia interpretation Ability to manage tracheostomy care and support chemotherapy administration Comfortable working in a travel nursing environment with compliance deadlines and credentialing timelines Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, supervisor, or charge RN Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate patient care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical and telemetry patients Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Deliver care for oncology-related diagnoses, including head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumors Perform tracheostomy care, including suctioning, inner cannula changes, and general trach management Assist with drain care, including JP and Hemovac management Administer treatments and support protocols focused on infection prevention and fall prevention Use strong clinical judgment to prioritize care in a mixed-acuity hospital environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient outcomes and daily workflow Float to equivalent or lower acuity units as required by staffing needs If you are an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN looking for your next travel nurse assignment in Columbus, Ohio, apply now and join a supportive healthcare team today.
