Travel Nursing Job Details Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED RN) Setting: Emergency Department Observation Unit Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Employment Type: Travel assignment Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Shift Duration: 12 hours Hours Per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830-$1,930 Patient Population: Pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Charting System: Epic preferred Registered Nurse Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience required ER, ER holding, or med-surg/tele experience required Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at the time of submission Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required Experience with a patient ratio of approximately 4:1 preferred Epic experience preferred ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply Emergency Department Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an emergency department observation setting Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions across a broad age range Manage telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmias, and cardiac-related interventions Administer and monitor IV therapies, blood products, insulin protocols, and heparin protocols as indicated Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway management, and ventilated care Assist with central line, PICC, port, arterial line, and peripheral IV management Provide care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound care needs, and other complex conditions Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, transportation, social services, and rapid response teams Participate in rapid response and code situations with confidence and professionalism Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining safety, efficiency, and strong clinical judgment Apply now for this Emergency Department Registered Nurse travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio and take the next step in your healthcare career.
